This particular Afghani khukuri have long fuller blade of steel that goes all the way to the handle. It has a full Tang blade, strongest possible handle you can have. Afghani Khukuri has a perfect blade shape which makes this great functionality tools. Afghani khukuri have enough weight balance (650 gm.) in front row, so doesn’t need to give huge effort while chopping. The handle is made from rose wood. The flat piece of metal with a hole at the bottom of the handle is there for an altitude adjuster.
The Notch (Kaura) in the blade near the hilt of most Khukuri (kukri) serve as a conduit for the blood onthe blade to drip out thus prevents it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing an enemy blade. The Khukuri is carried in a scabbard which is a wooden frame covered with buffalo leather. It has two little pockets to hold the tiny knives come along with your Afghani Khukuri pack tucked behind it.
