Unlike other bottles, the clinically proven anti-colic system is now integrated into the teat. As your baby feeds, the valve on the teat flexes to allow air into the bottle instead of your baby''s tummy.

The Classic+ Anti-Colic feeding bottle has also been designed to be fully compatible and easily interchangeable with other products in the Avent range including breast milk storage containers, easy sip cups and breast pumps. This means bottles can be used from the transition from baby to toddler. All Classic+ bottles can be used in any of the Avent sterilisers and bottle warmers.
Teats available in a variety of flow rates
Replace the Classic+ teats from newborn, slow, medium, fast and variable flow rates, to match your baby''s development. Remember that age indications are approximate, as babies develop at different rates. You will know when your baby is ready to move onto a faster flow rate because he or she will try to suck harder to get the milk more quickly.
Philips Avent Bottle Range
Our Classic+ bottle range can now be interchanged with our Avent Natural range to ensure you and your baby have flexibility during feeds. Existing Classic bottles can be used with the Classic+ teats. However we do not recommend that the Classic+ bottles be used with old teats. See chart on how your Avent bottles can be assembled.
Fussing is reduced, especially at night
Sleep and nutrition are vital to your baby's health and happiness. A randomised clinical trial was carried out to see whether infant baby bottle design affects "infant behavior". The Philips Avent Classic baby bottle was shown to significantly reduce fussing by approximately 28 minutes a day as compared to the comparator bottle (46 min vs 74 min, p=0.05) This was especially true during the night-time.*

Philips Avent Tips for Bottle Feeding
Clean and sterilise all feeding parts before each use
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or anti-bacterial cleaners with bottles and teats.
- Wash your hands thoroughly and ensure surfaces are clean before handling sterilised components For inspection of the teat, pull it in each direction.
- Throw away bottle and teats at the first sight of damage, weakness or scratching.
- Replace teats and spouts after three months use
- Do not warm milk in a microwave as this may cause uneven heating and could scald your baby.
- Always check the milk temperature before feeding.
- Do not allow your baby to play with small parts or run or walk while feeding.
